ARKIPEL, het internationale experimentele documentaire filmfestival uit Jakarta kwam naar Arnhem. Daarom zijn de films die van 5 t/m 11 juni (aanvangstijd 21.00 uur) in het Arnhemse Focus Filmtheater werden getoond anders dan anders.

Forum Lenteng, de filmcommunity uit Jakarta, organiseerde ARKIPEL. Voor SONSBEEK ’16 organiseerden zij samen met Focus Filmtheater een mini-ARKIPEL, bestaande uit films die gaan over hedendaagse lokale en internationale politiek en economie, rondom de volgende thema’s:
