Inleiding
This museum and national knowledge center is dedicated to the colonial-military history of the Netherlands. Situated on a historic estate, Bronbeek is also a home for veterans from the Dutch armed forces and the former Royal Netherlands East Indies Army. Founded in 1863 by King Willem III, Bronbeek connects historical narratives with lived experience. The museum is our partner in commissioning and presenting works by Larry Achiampong—a gesture in alignment with the museum’s research into Dutch colonialism.
