19 April 2026, 13.00hr – 16.00hr, Molenplaats, Arnhem
Inleiding
Artist Fanja Bouts, participant of Sonsbeek 2026, invites you to a deep mapping workshop in Sonsbeek Park on 19 April from 13:00 to 16:00, where together we will explore a place in the park through attention, imagination, and drawing. Everyone is welcome — no prior experience or preparation is required.
Deep mapping is a way of exploring a place by bringing together multiple layers of knowledge, experience, and stories. Rather than producing a single map or perspective, it creates a rich, layered understanding in which history, ecology, personal experiences, and imagination coexist.
On 19 April from 13:00 to 16:00, Fanja Bouts invites you to a deep mapping workshop in Sonsbeek Park.
Together, we will experience and explore an element of the park in a different way — through attention, imagination, drawing, reflection, and mapping.
No experience with art or drawing is required. Everyone is welcome, of all ages.
No preparation is necessary, but if possible: bring a small object from nature that caught your attention (for example, a stick, stone, leaf, or something else you have found).
Meeting point: the Molenplaats.
This event is an initiative of Natuurcentrum Arnhem.
