Recap Sneak Preview Sonsbeek 2026

During the Sneak Preview of Sonsbeek 2026, residents of Arnhem gathered for the first introduction to this new edition. In the presence of artists, partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders, curators Amira Gad and Christina Li unveiled the theme, their curatorial vision, and the list of participating artists for the first time. Following introductions by Culture Alderman Cathelijne Bouwkamp and director Orlando Maaike Gouwenberg of Sonsbeek art projects, the program was explained, offering generous insight into their vision on memory as a living, generative force. Artists Mounira Al Solh and Fanja Bouts shared ideas around their commissioned works.
