Sound walk by Soraya Lutanga Bonaventure: ‘Sound has no edge, like the start of every end’

Inleiding
The composer and theater maker Soraya Lutangu Bonaventure, a friend and collaborator of Korakrit Arunanondchai, has been invited to create a soundwalk that extends his sculptural installation into other senses and areas of the park.
Like a haunting story slowly unfolding, the soundwalk carries Arunandonchai's voice through the park, stirring post-apocalyptic feelings. Visitors move through a landscape that seems to be quietly decaying and morphing into another being, caught in an endless cycle of remembering and forgetting. The park becomes a guardian of memories, spirits, and unseen presences — a place where time and space blur into one.
The walk is 20 minutes and begins as a group at Molenplaats. Please wear comfortable shoes and rain-proof clothing, as the route runs through the hilly forest areas of park Sonsbeek.

About the artist
Soraya Lutanga Bonaventure is a composer and theater maker whose practice materializes the fugitive points of friction between ecstasy and mourning.
Led by a curiosity for how systems of violence interlock with the textures of everyday life, Soraya Lutanga Bonaventure work explores the degrees of legibility suspended in our gazes and the potential to imagine otherwise. Grounded at the crossroads of embodied knowledge and critical theory, she embraces multiplicity and builds choreographies of both repair and revenge that engage with the poetic notions of presence/absence. Her works and performances have been presented at MoMA PS1, Centre Pompidou, ICA London and Miami, MCBA Museum, Bangkok City City Gallery, Chisenhale Gallery, Arsenic Theatre, Tanzhaus Zürich, Gessnerallee, Friart Kunsthalle, Hartwig Foundation, Centre d’Art Contemporain de Geneve, Berghain, Swiss Institute of Milano and Rome, among others.
