Inleiding
Since 1949, Park Sonsbeek has been the beating heart of Sonsbeek. With its rolling lawns, historic buildings, streams, and mature trees, this historic landscape park is not only a green oasis within the city, but also a place where nature, history, and contemporary art come together. For Sonsbeek 2026, the park once again provides the setting for a series of site-specific artworks that invite visitors to experience the landscape in new ways. Works by Mounira Al Solh, Loesje, Fanja Bouts, Femke Herregraven, Alvaro Barrington, Puppies Puppies, Korakrit Arunanondchai, Jota Mombaça, Sahej Rahal, Afaina de Jong, nasa4nasa, and Larry Achiampong are presented throughout the park. As visitors walk through the landscape, the exhibition unfolds step by step, creating an ongoing dialogue between art, nature, and the layered history of this remarkable place.
