Tranzitdisplay and Code Rood, Scenae/The Cinematographic Walk, 2016

North of the city, Buitenplaats Koningsweg was transformed into a cinematographic world which provided insights in Arnhem but more importantly the German military history. Artists from Central and West Europe work in building that were used during the Second World War and Cold War.

Buitenplaats Koningsweg is the home of collective CODE ROOD, among others. They use this location to organise art events. For SONSBEEK '16, they built installations about the histoy of the former military base that was originally built by the Germans during World War II as a part of Fliegerhorst Deelen. At the same time, these installations functioned as film sets. Tranzitdisplay from Prague shot films using many different images and stories about the former military base. The scenes added another dimension to the exhibited artwork.
