The art of Zbigniew Libera is considered 'critical art': critical of society, critical of the divisions between men and women, critical of historical events. The works of Zbignieuw Libera from transHISTORY, on view at Museum Arnhem, are from the series New Histories from 2011-12. In this series, Libera show apocalyptic images of the future by using visual clichés, which look familiar. He is very interested is press photography, and the ways in which media capitalize on our visual memory. The large-scale photos were shown for the first time in The Netherlands.
